Mike and Julie Scheel moved to Salem from Montana to open their own Great Harvest Bread Co. store, opening in Downtown Salem in 1989. They expanded to South Salem in 1993, and opened their newest store in West Salem in 2007. Mike has two brothers and one sister (and spouses) who own Great Harvest stores in the Oregon, Washington, and Montana, and their family was involved in the organization of Great Harvest Franchising Co. in the late 70’s. |
